Tenzi Adds a Fun Twist to Family Game Night

If you’re looking for a new family-friendly game that will appeal to kids and adults alike, Tenzi is a great choice. This addictive dice game involves rolling a series of 10 colored dice. Players compete to be the first person to get all 10 dice to land on the same number.

Honestly, my first thought when I read the rules of the game was that Tenzi sounded too simple to hold my nine year old’s interest. But, he loved this game. Even my husband came out to play with us and said he thought Tenzi might be something his friends would enjoy doing as an alternative to their regular card games.

Tenzi has dice for up to four players. If you are playing in a larger group, just use two sets.

I don’t think Tenzi is intended as a single player game, but my son spent 20 minutes rolling the dice and counting how many turns it took him to get a Tenzi (all 10 dice on the same number) once we had stopped playing as a group.

When you’re done playing, Tenzi is very easy to pick up. Just scoop the dice back in the tube, shake gently, and watch everything settle into a row. The plastic tube seems fairly sturdy, so it should hold up to regular use by your children.

Visit the I Love Tenzi website to learn more about the game or to buy Tenzi for your family. A single Tenzi set for up to four players sells for $14.95. Unfortunately, you don’t get to choose what color of dice you receive.

This sounds like a fun game to add to family game night - I am hoping to start family game nights with the kids so we can spend more time together, instead of just watching TV or a movie.
