Lego Juniors Line Offers Frustration-Free Building for Kids Ages 4-7

I really wish Lego Juniors would have been around when my son was younger. He grew out of Duplo bricks way before he was able to put together the complex Lego sets featuring all his favorite characters. So, my husband and I spent many evenings trying to provide assistance and keep him from throwing tiny Legos across the room in frustration.

Lego Juniors is a line that offers simplified building sets for kids ages 4-7. The sets are made from regular sized Lego bricks, but have less than 200 pieces so they don’t unnecessarily frustrate your child. The sets are designed to be built fairly quickly so that your child can enjoy hours of pretend play with the finished models.

The Lego Juniors line includes superhero sets featuring Spiderman and Batman, as well as police car, race car, and construction sets. There aren’t as many “girl” options, but they do make a princess castle and pony farm that look like they would appeal to girls who want traditional minifigure playsets instead of the doll-like figures in the Lego Friends collection.

All of the sets in the Lego Juniors line are under $30, so this is a good way to see if Legos will hold your child’s interest before you start investing in the more expensive sets. The bricks in the sets seem to be all fairly basic sizes and colors, so they will be great additions to your child’s collection if he or she wants to graduate to creating models from scratch.

Do your kids have any sets from the Lego Juniors line? If so, what do they link of this new Lego offering?
