Build Your Own City Set Will Spark Your Child’s Imagination
Do your children like building things and playing house? If so, this build your own city set looks like it could be lots of fun. Kids can mix and match the different pieces to make buildings that come together to form a pretend neighborhood for their dolls or action figures.
This toy is a series of interlocking walls that can be used to make your own structures. The different pieces represent classic urban architecture from various countries around the world, although children are encouraged to add their own decorative touches to their finished creations.
The scale of the set is a little hard to judge from the photos, but I’m guessing that the finished structures would be appropriate for Little People, Imaginext figures, or Polly Pocket dolls. I think it would also be cute to use the city as a holiday village display. You could add different seasonal accessories to dress it up a bit and it would be much more kid-friendly than the traditional ceramic houses people put out for their holiday decor.
The set is made in Chicago and constructed from sturdy, 100% recycled paperboard that is laminated for added durability. It’s recommended for children ages 4 and up, although I’d suggest waiting until your child is about 6 or so if you have a little one who tends to be really rough with his toys.
You can purchase the build your own city set on the Uncommon Goods website for $35.
