Toy Animal ABC Parade Puzzle

Learning the alphabet is an important part of getting ready for school. Help your preschooler master the ABCs with an adorable wooden puzzle that makes learning the alphabet a fun playtime game.

The puzzle pieces connect both horizontally and vertically. Each colorful animal is printed with a letter of the alphabet to help teach children their ABCs in an engaging way. The “A” is on an alligator, the “B” is on a bear, the “C” is on a cat, and so on.

The puzzle is made from rubberwood and comes in its own wooden case. When my son was younger, I’d only buy him wooden puzzles. He was very impatient and would try to force the cardboard pieces together, which resulted in bent edges and a useless puzzle. Wooden puzzles are practically indestructible.

I also like wooden puzzles like this animal puzzle because the pieces can double as figures for pretend play. Your child can put together the puzzle, then use the animals to play a zoo game with dolls or action figures. In my opinion, this makes the puzzle a better value than one that just sits on the shelf when it’s done.

You can buy this adorable animal parade puzzle on the MoMA Store website. The puzzle is priced at $40 for non members and $36 for members. There is a flat rate shipping fee of $6.95 for all orders.

Do your little ones love puzzles? If so, what do you think of this animal puzzle?
