Amaze ‘N’ Marbles from Ideal Toys Provides Hours of Low Tech Fun

Amaze ‘N’ Marbles from Ideal Toys is a great alternative to all of the high tech gadgets toy stores seem to be peddling for children. This nicely designed toy encourages kids to build marble runs-promoting patience, problem solving skills, and creativity.

There are several marble toys on the market. I like the Amaze ‘N’ Marbles sets because they’re made of wood instead of cheap plastic, but quite budget-friendly compared to other wooden marble run options.

This is actually a slightly bigger set than what my son received for his birthday. The set he receives was the 45 piece set, while this one is 60 pieces. Unless your child is only 4 or 5, I think the bigger set is a better idea.

My son loves the 45 piece set, but there simply aren’t enough pieces to make the type of large scale structures he wants. I think I will eventually end up buying him another set simply to have enough parts to work with.

Amaze ‘N’ Marbles from Ideal Toys gets 4.5 stars on Amazon. Some of the reviewers criticized the product for having unevenly stained pieces or a slightly rough finish. We did not notice either of these issues with our set, although it wouldn’t have bothered me to sand them smooth if needed.

If you decide to purchase Amaze ‘N’ Marbles from Ideal Toys, I would recommend picking up an extra pack of marbles. You get 10 marbles with the set, but the marbles have a tendency to get lost rather quickly. When my son’s not rolling them off the table and under the refrigerator, our cat ends up snagging the marbles as her personal playthings.
