Uzinggo Offers Math and Science Help for Kids in Grades 5-12
If your child is struggling with math or science homework and you’re not up to the task of tutoring on your own, Uzinggo can help.
Essentially a high-tech version of a tutor, Uzinggo has math and science lessons for kids grades 5-12. Students are guided through lessons with audio prompts and interactive models. All of the lessons can be completed as many times as your child needs to fully understand the subject matter.
Uzinggo keeps students motivated by letting them earn points to build an avatar, create their own online room, or enter for a chance to win gift cards.
Parents can log into the account at any time to view their child’s progress, and see additional assessments and answer keys that they can print out to use for more practice.
Uzinggo is designed by the classroom technology company Adaptive Curriculum. It uses the 5E Instructional Model: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and Evaluate.
Parents can purchase a monthly or annual subscription. Pricing begins at $9.95 per month per student. Annual subscriptions offer up to a 25% discount.
My son isn’t quite old enough for this service yet, but I think it’s something I’d be open to using when the time comes. I’m pretty confident in my English tutoring abilities, but algebra, chemistry, and physics are not my strong points.
Uzinggo is cheaper and more convenient than hiring a private tutor and I like that it seems to be set up to encourage kids to have fun as they’re learning.
Have your kids tried Uzinggo? If so, what did they think of the service?
