TwoTara Offers an Interesting Twist on Shopping for Baby Clothes

Personally, I hate surprises. When I found out I was pregnant, I wanted to know immediately if I was having a boy or a girl. Having to wait for the ultrasound was hard enough. I never would have made it to the delivery room without knowing.

But, if you’ve decided to wait to find out the sex of your baby or you’ve been invited to a baby shower where the parents haven’t found out what they’re having, TwoTara can help. This company sells a line of reversible baby hats, onesies, sleepers, and rompers. They are pink on one side and blue on the other.

TwoTara is pronounced too-tahr-uh and named after the tuatara, a chameleon-like lizard that changes color over time.

TwoTara prices range from $5 for one size baby mitts to $35 for footie pajamas in newborn or 0-3 sizes. Visit the TwoTara website to check out the whole collection.

Although reversible clothes are certainly handy if you don’t know the gender of your baby, I can’t help but think they’d also be smart if you were planning on having mulitple children and wanted to make sure that your hand-me-downs would work well for a boy or girl. There’s nothing wrong with green and yellow, but I doubt anyone wants to limit their baby’s whole wardrobe to just two colors for the sake of preserving the future hand-me-down potential.

What do you think of this idea? Would you buy reversible baby clothes if you didn’t know the gender of your baby?
