The LORAC Pro Palette Is a New Favorite
If I were Oprah, the LORAC Pro palette would be on the episode where I shared my favorite things. I thought the Stila In the Light and Urban Decay Naked palettes were good, but this one surpasses even those in terms of color options, blendability, and texture.
The only thing I wish it had that it doesn’t is an eyeliner. It has shadow colors that can be used as liner, but I prefer a bolder, more opaque line than those can give, plus I like using liner on my bottom waterline.
This palette comes with 16 shadows, half matte and half shimmer (I hesitate to use the word “shimmer” because it’s more light-reflecting than glitter, except for the still-wearable champagne shade). The set also comes with a Behind the Scenes Shadow Primer that does the job well and helps make sure the shadows stay in place all day (I wore a look from this set to Disney World at the beginning of September and my eye shadow looked like I’d just applied it after six hot, humid hours at the park).
All of the shades are incredibly pigmented. I barely tap my brush onto them and have enough color to do one, if not both, eyes. This is especially true of the darker shades. These are mostly neutrals, but you get such a variety, the selection goes well beyond the boring beige, matte light or medium brown, and black.
You get a pale pink, mauve, cream, several shades of brown, golden bronzes, a beautiful plum, a stunning copper, and an intense, rich black. No matter what you wear, you can come up with a complementary look with this palette. Age and skin tone also don’t matter. I think this palette would work for anyone.
You can buy this palette at Sephora, Ulta, loraccosmetics.com, or anywhere LORAC cosmetics are sold.
