The Korres Radiance Revealed Wild Rose Brightening Duo Makes a Good Gift
It took me a long time to try the Korres Radiance Revealed Wild Rose Brightening Duo even though the Sephora salespeople kept telling me about it every time I went in to browse the skin care aisles.
It’s a two-step process with a gentle scrub and overnight mask that leaves your skin looking noticeably brighter the next day. I finally caved and got samples, and within a few days, I knew I would be buying not one, but two kits—one for myself and one for my mom.
You can use the scrub daily, but I only recommend using the mask two or three times per week. I have dry skin, so I have to follow up with another night cream on top of the mask. It doesn’t hinder its performance, though.
The scrub has rice grain, cherry stone, and sugar-citrus extracts along with the wild rose oil that both products have (as well as other items from the wild rose line). You can feel it working, but it’s not rough on the skin. Keep it away from your eyes, of course.
If you don’t like the scent of roses, you’ll despise this kit because the fragrance is strong. Be sure to do your homework and find out if the recipient can tolerate the scent of roses before you give it as a gift.
The exfoliant alone gives you brighter skin almost instantly, but the real magic comes from the overnight facial. It works on uneven skin tone and dark spots. It does even out my skin tone. I’m always surprised when I look in the mirror and a lot of the redness I tend to get along my cheeks and the middle of my forehead match the rest of my face again.
I can’t say enough about this product. The only negative is that it doesn’t work as a night cream for those with dry skin. I hate layering yet another thing on top, but I haven’t experienced any adverse reactions. This product also has that strong rose fragrance.
I was a little nervous about anything with a lot of vitamin C, essential oils, or “brightening” capabilities just because my skin is very sensitive and often reacts to products with vitamin C (a lot of those have orange oil, which I have to be careful with).
If you know someone with sensitive skin who loves trying new skin care and has mentioned wanting brighter, more youthful looking skin in the past, I recommend considering this set. It’s $48 at Sephora (you can also buy the products separately).
