Second Base Offers Comfortable Yet Stylish Layering Pieces
Have you ever purchased a beautiful new blouse with a neckline that was just a little too low or fabric that was a little too sheer? If so, you should definitely check out the Second Base website.
Second Base offers modest layering pieces in demi, midi, and maxi styles. The demi styles are similar to a crop top. The midi styles are the same length as a regular shirt. The maxi styles are long enough to cover your rear and are the ideal length for wearing with leggings.
The color selection for Second Base layering pieces depends upon the exact style you select, but most of the styles are offered in black, white, ivory, and navy or chocolate.
All options are made in the USA. They should be hand washed or cold water washed and laid flay to dry.
The Second Base sample I received was the Rachel midi style, which has elbow length sleeves for women who are self conscious about their upper arms. The fabric is a 93% Siro Micro Modal/7% Spandex blend that is amazingly soft and smooth against your skin.
The top doesn’t shift or bunch. However, since it’s intended as a layering piece, it’s very formfitting. I had originally thought that I might have the option of wearing the Rachel all on its own, but it makes me a little too self conscious of my muffin top. Unless you’re thin with a flat tummy, it’s best to save this for layering under a sheer blouse of some sort.
