Old Navy Girls’ Sweaters Are Thick, Warm, and Inexpensive

For some reason, it seems like we can never have enough sweaters around my house. We stocked up again at Old Navy recently for my daughter. She had a hard time choosing from all the pretty colors in the chunky knit style, and from all the animals in the graphic sweaters section.

When we went, they were $15.00/each. The regular price for both types is $24.94, but they have them on sale so often, you probably won’t actually have to pay regular price.

I like these because they’re thick and warm. They’re long, too, which makes a big difference when you have a tall, skinny kid. So often, I’ve seen her tummy poking out of the bottom of shirts and sweaters simply because they’d ride up just a little bit and there wasn’t a lot of extra length in the first place.

These fit like tunics, almost, and the sleeves go all the way down to cover the first inch or so of her hands. That’s another place that often gets left uncovered, and it’s annoying.

All of the colors and graphics are absolutely adorable, and there’s a big enough variety for there to be something for any little girl. Sizes range from XS to XXL.

There’s only one problem. You’re supposed to wash these in cold water and then tumble dry them on low. I tried drying just one of them, and I’m so glad I didn’t follow the directions on them all.

The chunky knit one shrank a good bit. It still fits, but it fits like a sweater she might have gotten last year, not a brand new one. The length isn’t as good and the sleeves barely cover her wrists now. I should have known better, but had a lapse in judgment when I tossed everything into the dryer when the drying rack in my tiny laundry room was already covered from top to bottom.

I do recommend them, but don’t dry them. Not even on low.
