Daniela Jaglenka Terrazini Brings a Modern Touch to Puffin Classics

Posted on Feb 27, 2014 by No Comments

I love beautiful books, especially lovely editions of children’s classics. Despite the convenience of ebooks, I think nothing can replace a gorgeous hardcover book for inspiring a true love of literature.

Puffin Books has released a collection of hardcover classics with stylish bindings created by Daniela Jaglenka Terrazini, who first studied fine art in Milan and has been inspired by painter Claudio Olivieri. The books are designed to be displayed as works of art or given as a gift for the special reader in your life.

This set of 10 volumes includes:

  • Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie
  • The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum
  • The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
  • A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett
  • Matilda by Roald Dahl
  • Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame
  • The Adventures of Robin Hood by Richard Green
  • The Call of the Wild by Jack London
  • Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
  • The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain

The books are recommended for children ages eight and up. They are also available individually for purchase, if you don’t feel like dropping $170 on pretty books at one time.

Matilda is one of my all time favorite children’s books. Buying the whole set of these is out of my price range until I write my own iconic children’s book and become rich from royalties.

What is your favorite title from this set of books?
