If you’re looking for easy ways to start eating better, flax seeds are a must-have addition to your pantry. Adding flax seed to your favorite foods is great way to increase your fiber and protein intake. Flax seeds are also an excellent source of omega 3 and 6.

The Organic Flax Paks from Carrington Farms are a convenient way to add flax seed to your diet. These packets are great for on-the-go use. They need no refrigeration, so you could easily keep them at the office to add to purchased meal items from the company cafeteria. They’d also be great for when you’re traveling and need to add a boost of nutrition to purchased restaurant meals.

Another benefit of the packets is that they prevent the flax seed from going bad before you can use it all. I’ve purchased larger containers of flax seed before and ending up throwing portions of it away because I didn’t get around to using it all before it went bad.

Each packet is 0.4 ounces or about 2 tablespoons. The suggested serving for flax seed is one or two packets per day. You can sprinkle the flax seed over cereals, shakes, yogurt, salads, or casseroles. It has a slightly nutty flavor.

Compared to other brands of flax seed I’ve tried, the Carrington Farms Organic Flax Paks have a coarser texture and a more distinctive flavor. Carrington Farms uses a special proprietary milling and micro-cleanse process that ensures only the highest quality seeds are selected for sale and that the seeds retain the maximum amount of healthy nutrients.

Carrington Farms Organic Flax Paks are available in 12, 30, and 60 count boxes. Visit the Carrington Farms website for purchasing information.

I only bought flax seeds once with good intentions. I never realized that the seeds have to be ground before you can use them! And with no grinder, it was useless to me. If these packets are already ground up, they would be an easy way to add them to your meals.
