You Can Find Casual, Comfortable Maternity Clothing…You Just Might Not Like the Style

With both of my pregnancies, I was lucky (and I mean that as facetiously as possible) enough to be pregnant for my third trimester in the middle of summer. I live in Southern California, where it’s pretty normal to have 100+ degree weather during the months of July, August, and September. And sometimes May and October, too.

Which is why I know how important it is to have comfortable maternity clothing. Let’s face it, for some of us, we’d rather not have to wear anything because everything is uncomfortable. That’s why, when I was introduced to Lilo Maternity I was immediately interested in what they had to offer.

Hop over to their site and the first words you see in the middle of their homepage are “Casually Comfortable”…what more could a pregnant woman ask for?!

According to the website, Lilo Maternity carries a full line of top quality clothing exclusively tailored to fit women throughout every stage of pregnancy. The products are made from a variety of fabrics including imported cottons, cashmeres and silks to ensure a maximum level of comfort.

There are colors for everybody’s taste, from from subdued black to vibrant pink. Lilo Maternity believes that pregnant women should be able to maintain a cultured and yet modest appearance throughout their pregnancy. They guarantee you’ll love their clothing.

Okay, enough with the spiel…what do I really think of Lilo Maternity? I think they are over-priced and that many of their styles are outdated.

How many women do you know would wear this skirt with those shoes, and pay $48 for it? I can’t think of one! Does that skirt scream “casual” to you? No, not to me either.

I’ll admit, some of the items aren’t that bad, and I may have purchased them if they were on sale. But the prices did seem a bit steep, even for maternity clothing.

I’m not saying not to visit Lilo Maternity if you are pregnant, I just want to be honest with my own personal opinion.

I’d love to know, did you shop Lilo Maternity when you were pregnant? Or if you’re currently pregnant, would you consider Lilo Maternity for your wardrobe?

That was kind of a slam. I had to look at the site after that, and while it’s not fashionably trendy or even very casual, it looks like the kind of clothing someone in a fairly formal, conservative office setting might wear for work. I’m thinking banker, accountant, etc. I guess it would suit a certain market.

I dont get this post. Yes, I actually did buy some great sweaters from Lilo Maternity. And if you look around at comparable websites they are way less expensive. I actually think they have some pretty nice things for a fair price.
