Wriggle Wrapper
I love eating out in restaurants again. I had a 4 or 5-year period where the idea of eating out with the fam caused dread to sink heavily in my heart. Dealing with kids in restaurants is not relaxing!
Now, I’ll be at a restaurant, and I’ll hear a kid scream. I’ll watch one not staying in his seat or throwing food on the floor. I watch kids basically terrorize their parents. My husband and I shake our heads, look knowingly at each other as we finish our glasses of wine and say in unison, “I don’t miss THOSE days.”
That magical age where kids first gain confidence as new walkers is an absolute disaster in restaurants. They’ve discovered the keys to the kingdom and they’re going to not sit down for one second – they have exploring to do!
So when I saw this product, called The Wriggle Wrapper, at Phil and Teds? I thought, THIS is an idea whose time has come.
It’s so cool.
Wriggle Wrapper is, simply put, a big old seat belt to keep your kid where you want them, when you want them.
There’s a harness area that is shaped like a baby swing seat. You put your kid’s legs through the legholes. Attached to the harness area are two wide, long straps that wrap around just about anything and attach to each other with a buckle.
So, as the picture shows above, you can strap the kid directly into a seat. Or, if the kid’s on your lap? Strap him to you. Take that, little escape artist!
Wriggle Wrapper is suitable for kids up to 2 years old and costs $49.99. I honestly think this is a MAJOR bargain. The joy of eating a meal that’s been served to me with no interruptions? Priceless.
