Wine Glasses with a Twist

Wine Glasses with a Twist

I really struggle with finding cool gifts for my girlfriends.

Sure, it’s easy to get a gift card or a spa treatment, but I like finding things that are a bit more out of the ordinary.

I have a friend that I met through blogging who lives across the country. We’ve never met in person, but when I travel to her city in two weeks, she’s kindly agreed to host a party in my honor. I’ll be meeting her, and several other blogging friends.

I wanted to give this gal a really cool and fun gift. Fortunately, she drinks wine. It’s not a requirement to be my friend, but it helps.

So when I came across these Lolita Wine Glasses, I knew I had found the perfect gift for her!

These 15 oz. wine glasses are adorable! Each one is hand painted with an uber-cute design. They have dozens to choose from. There are series with initials painted on them, holiday collections for Halloween and Christmas, bachelorette themes, and more!

But the coolest part is that there is a recipe or fun instruction imprinted on the bottom of each glass. Fun!

The one pictured above is the New Mommy glass. On the bottom of the glass, it says, “Fill to rim with wine of your choice.”

Great advice for a new mom, indeed.

This one below, called Mommy’s Time Out, says “Do not come closer than 3 feet from me.”

There is a Lolita wine glass for every occasion you can imagine: divorce, birthdays, you name it. And some are just plain wild and crazy, like this leopard glass.

I’m still deciding which one to pick out for my friend – so many choices!

I’ve seen Lolita wine glasses in Hallmark stores. You can also buy them online at Amazon:

Finding gifts that are handmade can be difficult and costly. Actually making them with your own hand is even worse, well, maybe that’s just me.

These are sweet and I like them better for parties to remember which glass is yours rather than using a little glass charm, which were the “thing” a few years back.

I’m sure your new friend will love them, but if she reads your blog, the cat’s out the bag!

Being a wine lover myself, I could realy appreciate such a cup. Having my own – no sharing – is the best part. You know the way your kids sneaks up to you, begs you for a sip, and makes the most scrunched up sour face you ever saw? I could tell my son this is Mommy’s cup ONLY.
