I live in a very rural area, so it’s important for me to be as prepared as possible for any little emergency that might arise. One thing I’ve done that helps reduce stress is to create a gift station in our basement. I have a large selection of wrapping paper, greeting cards, and small gifts in a corner so that I’m not caught unprepared when we are invited to a party and I need a present for someone.
If you need to build your own gift station, check out this cute collection of all occasion greeting cards on Mod Cloth. Produced by Chronicle Books and designed by Two Trick Pony, it includes a wide variety of colorful cards with retro graphics that are appropriate for both children and adults. There are birthday cards, thank you cards, congratulations cards, sympathy cards, and general note cards packed in a sturdy organizer box.
My favorite part of this set is actually the adorable matching envelopes. Each envelope has a colorful pattern, with a blank space for writing the address on the front. When I take the time to make my own cards, I like to decorate the envelope because it’s normally the most overlooked part of the greeting.
To make it easier to fill out cards in a hurry, keep a pen, an address book, and some stamps near the rest of your gift wrapping supplies.
Do you have a gift station or gift closet? If so, what are your favorite tricks for keeping this spot organized?
