My son, who is four years old, has just recently started asking lots of questions about dates. When is my birthday? How long until Halloween? Is it almost time for our vacation to the beach? Telling him he has to go to sleep 100 more times really doesn’t help him understand how far away those things still are.

He’s learning the days of the week in preschool right now, but they haven’t gotten to weeks or months yet. But I found something that will help him understand: KidzCalendars.

What is a KidzCalendar? It’s a fully customizable, undated 12-month calendar that comes with stickers (like holidays, school events, chores, medical appointments, and even Mom stickers and Dad stickers to help kids keep track of scheduled visitation) that your child can use to track what is going on his or her life.

Not only will the calendar teach your child basic calendar concepts, but also responsibility, patience, planning, and learning to manage a schedule. And every calendar page has activities, puzzles, and a place for a picture, notes, or a doodle…your child can make it his own!

The cost of the calendar is $12.99…about the price of a regular calendar. What I like about it is that it is totally focused on your child’s life and what goes on in it. You could buy one for each child even! My son would love this and I think I would, too. Maybe I’ll buy him one for his birthday!

What do you think of KidzCalendars?

Every mom would be able to use something like this for their kids. Especially with stickers associated with kids’ tasks like chores, etc. Makes sense!
