It’s not a secret that I love origami. As the About.com Origami guide, I often see beautiful origami models that I’d love to create. While browsing for ideas one day, I stumbled across the designers of Origami Jewellery on Bottica.com.

This dainty origami swan charm necklace is perfect for the woman who loves jewelry that is contemporary with clean lines. I love this origami charm precisely because it is not fussy or overly ostentatious. For me, at least, it would be a sweet reminder to stop and appreciate the beauty of all the simple things in your life. I’m also partial to the swan design because The Ugly Duckling was one of my favorite fairy tales as a child.

The origami swan necklace is available in gold plating, silver, and gun metal so you can choose the finish that best coordinates with the rest of your wardrobe. At the time of this point, the listed retail price was $155. If you live in the United States, I would suggest ordering just this item. The seller is based in Paris and notes that purchases of $200 or more may require extra Customs Duty and/or Import VAT.

If swans aren’t your thing, Origami Jewellery has several other designs to choose from. There are necklaces with cats, dogs, butterflies, rabbits, and cranes. I even came across an origami Pegasus that would certainly qualify as a conversation starter at any dinner party.

What do you think of Origami Jewellery’s designs? Is this something you can see yourself wearing?
