The Mix ‘n Match Stack – Makes Preparing Lunches Easier

My four-year-old son is starting preschool next week, and I was a bit worried. He is a very picky eater, and we’ve been trying to get him to expand his food horizons, but it’s not easy. So having to prepare lunches for preschool scared me. Until I was given the Mix n’ Match Stack.

The Mix ‘n Match Stack is a deck of 62 cards that allows your kids to choose a fruit, a veggie, a main dish, and a sweet treat or salty snack for their meal. This way, kids are able to choose their lunch based on foods they enjoy and are therefore, more likely to eat it.

Each card also features a silly joke on the front and recipes, tips, and tricks on the back. The cards are color coded, so there’s no need for your child to be able to read to use them. And as kids choose one food from each group, they are learning how to create a healthy meal.

What’s also great about this product is the ability to customize it based on what you have in the pantry. For example, if you run out of apples, you can take that card out and so they won’t be given the option to select that fruit. You can also remove the cards that represent foods that you don’t have on hand or that your child doesn’t like.

My son has so much fun sorting through all the cards and choosing his selections . . . even my two-year-old twin girls like to pick out what they want to eat! Meal time has become fun and not “work”.

Is this a product you would use?  Head over to the Mix n’ Match Stack site and check it out!

I received a free Mix n’ Match Stack for this review. All opinions expressed are my own and were not influenced by any other source. I was not compensated to provide an opinion of this product.

You neglected to mention the price. I hunted around to see that it is about $20 for the deck.

And yes, I would totally buy this for my kids! I love that the cards make it more fun than simply asking, “apple or grapes today?” The kids will feel they are in charge of what they will eat, and hopefully, eat their school lunches!!

This is cute, and I would need to stock up on the food these cards promote. I can see it working amazing with my kids.
