The Little Giraffe Book Review

Posted on Jun 3, 2010 by No Comments

If your child likes reading and puppets they will get a huge kick out of this series of interactive books that combine the two. Little Giraffe is just the latest in a line of books that brings animal friends to life.

The Little Giraffe book – like the other finger puppet books in this series – has a hole in the middle where you stick your index finger in to make the giraffe come to life. As you turn the pages the puppet’s neck sticks out more and more.

The finger puppet aspect of these books makes them great for newborns through toddlers. Wiggling the little puppet while reading a tale of adventure involving the character is sure to bring a smile to your child’s face. The littlest ones will be happy just to watch you waggle the puppet around (watch out – they will inevitably try to put it in their mouth too!). Older kids will get a kick out of sticking their own finger inside the giraffe and making it move.

Other books in this series include Little Cow, Little Rabbit, Little Polar Bear, Little Duck, Little Lamb, Little Bee, Little Reindeer and more. Pick your child’s favorite animal and they will especially love the book.

The finger puppet books are small – 4 3/8″ x 4 3/8″ – so they are perfect for little hands and for traveling.

You can buy the Little Giraffe finger puppet book – as well as all the other animals – for $6.99 at Chronicle Books.
