The Blender Bottle Is a Step Up From Other Shaker Bottles

I was recently at GNC and noticed that they had the 28 oz. classic Blender Bottles on sale. Before that, I’d never really paid attention to the classic version and had my eye on a SportMixer because I like the way they look a little more.

Buy one at $8.99, get one half off on the classic style versus $14.99 for one SportMixer, however, changed my mind. I picked up two and haven’t been disappointed.

I mostly use mine for juices and smoothies, often making them ahead of time and then putting the bottle in the refrigerator for the next day. Those drinks tend to separate as they sit there, but the wire BlenderBall does a fantastic job of making everything mix together again.

Everything seems smoother than when I used regular shaker bottles without the ball inside. I like to make enough for two drinks and then split it between the two bottles. Since the ounces are marked on the side, it’s easy to make sure you’re getting the same amount in each one.

I want to try them with protein pancake batter that I make the night before, but I haven’t tried it yet; I’ve heard it works, though, and that it isn’t too thick to mix well. I imagine it will make mornings much easier—just pour from the spout directly into the pan for a mess-free (and quick!) breakfast. The larger size is perfect, too, and I’m not sure what I would do if I’d gotten the smaller bottles.

These bottles and BlenderBalls are top-rack dishwasher safe, which is often a deal breaker for me. The ball is made from stainless steel and the bottle is BPA-free.

So far, I’ve never had it leak on me while shaking anything up, which is an improvement on other bottles I’ve tried. The spout also stays open as you drink, and firmly clicks back into place when you close it.
