My mother is a huge fan of the home shopping concept and has given me several of their advertised products over the years. The one that always gets the most compliments is this sturdy printed Temp-tations satchel from QVC.
The Temp-tations satchel is thermally insulated to keep hot foods hot and cold foods cold. There are two compartments, so I usually use one to transport my food and the other for any plates, napkins, or silverware that I am supposed to bring.
There is a hand drop strap and a shoulder strap so you can carry it however is most convenient for you. There are Velcro straps on the inside to secure your dishes. (I can attest that they work very well, since I actually fell down the stairs while carrying my bag and the baker inside did not chip or break.)
The satchel comes with 2-quart baker with wire holder, tempered glass trivet, and plastic storage cover. This size is perfect for when you’re asked to bring something to a picnic or PTO function. You can mix and cook directly in the Temp-tations baker for a no-mess treat! The baker is microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and freezer safe. It’s oven safe to 500F.
I’ve heard that some people uses the Temp-tations satchel as a lunch bag for the office, but it seems awfully big for that purpose. It’s about the size of a large diaper bag and easily accommodates a 9×13 casserole dish if needed.
