Taggies Blankets
Were you attached to a baby blanket growing up?
I was. I had a soft cotton blanket with a satin trim around the edges. I took my blankie everywhere. I made up songs about it. I rubbed the silky satin against my cheek when I needed comfort. My blanket was well-loved, indeed.
In the last several years, Taggies blankets have become really popular. A soft blanket is trimmed out with satin loops that go around the entire perimeter of the blanket.
It’s no surprise that Taggies are enormously successful. The sensory awareness they provide, both tactile and visual, is hard to thumb one’s nose at. Children can spend hours feeling the different loops, moving their fingers in and out, inspecting the varied prints and colors on each of the loops, while still having the cozy comfort of a soft blankie.
Taggies’ business has grown into other Taggie-based merchandise. But I just wanted to feature a small twist on a classic Taggie today – the Love Notes set.
The Love Notes set includes a Little Taggie blanket, which measures a nice 12 x 12 inches – perfect for an infant to cozy up to and not so large that a toddler can’t drag it around like Linus. The blanket is, of course, covered in Taggies.
But you also get a Take-Along Taggie with the Love Notes set. The Take-Along Taggie is a 5″ triangle-shaped Taggie that is clippable to a stroller or car seat. You can avoid baby dropping the Taggie blanket all over the dirty ground or in a filthy public bathroom by letting them play with the “mobile” version.
Cool stuff. This item would be high on my list for a baby shower. It’s fun, versatile and kids love them.
The Love Notes set is available for $35 on the Taggies website.
