Tadpoles Owls Crib Bedding Set

Do you remember what fun it was to pick out crib bedding for your little one? I’d spend hours poring over online sites trying to find the most unusual and beautiful themes and patterns for The Nursery Of My Dreams.

My son’s bedding ended up being a little on the cliche side – firefighters or something (it’s sad that I don’t really remember!). I got a bit more creative with my daughter’s – we did a tie-dyed theme in pink and yellow.

It still kind of excites me to find really unusual bedding themes for little ones – the kind that when friends walk in, they say, “Where did you FIND  this unusual bedding set?”

Most of the bedding sets I see fall into the been there, done that category. But this Owls crib bedding set from Tadpoles really caught my eye.

I don’t believe I’ve ever seen an owl-themed bedding set for nurseries before. I wonder why? The owl is a cool animal. From his appearance in the Winnie the Pooh series to other shows like Little Bear…the owl imparts the regal air of wisdom.

And that whole turning-its-head-around thing is pretty wicked too.

I think the idea of putting owls in a nursery is just plain cute.

This Tadpoles bedding set is done up in sage green and brown. I think it favors a boy room ever so slightly, but it’s definitely still neutral. There are 5 sleepy-eyed owls appliqued in microsuede and velour onto the crib items. A modern geometric print in brown and white as the accent adds a ton of interest.

The 5-piece crib set is machine washable and retails for $184.99. There are also a bunch of other owl-themed pieces to go with the set, like a hamper, drapes, diaper stacker, wall art and more. Have a look at this cute set at Tadpoles’ online store.

HOOO knows? You may love it as much as I do. Bad pun intended.

Seriously cute!! I love the owl for setting the tone of a quiet night-time, they are a noctural bird! Adorable. (I went with a “Hey Diddle Diddle” theme was that pretty darn cute I must say and got me through two babies with a smile. I mean, jumping cows and laughing dogs, come on!)

Unfortunately the manufacturer is no longer making this crib set. I’ve tried for the past month to order it only to be told it’s no longer available. :-(
