I’m not a big fan of most of programming targeted towards children today, but I fell in love with SuperWhy! the first time I watched it with my son. I think the idea of young superheroes who use books to find the answers to their questions is brilliant.

Watching the show with my son also gave me several great ideas for books we could read together at bedtime. He’s moved on to other programming now, but I’d still recommend the show to any mom looking for quality educational shows for toddlers and preschoolers to watch.

This summer, SuperWhy! is going to be a live show touring the Southeastern United States. The first stops of the tour, posted online, include Atlanta, Tampa, Miami Beach, Memphis, and Knoxville.

The production team behind this experience for kids includes the producers of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark and Yo Gabba Gabba! Live, a Tony Award-winning scenic designer, and an Emmy and Tony Award-nominated lighting designer. It’s advertised as including plenty of singing, dancing, and interactive elements guaranteed to keep young fans on the edge of their seats.

Visit SuperWhy! Live to learn more about the tour or to purchase tickets. For an additional fee, you can purchase an upgrade that includes photo ops and a chance for your child to meet his or her favorite SuperWhy! characters. If your budget allows for it, the show certain sounds like it would be worth the extra splurge.

Will you be taking your kids to see Whyatt Beanstalk, Wonder Red, Princess Presto, and Alpha Pig on stage?
