Super Mario Yahtzee

Super Mario Yahtzee

I have a 7 year-old son.

Therefore, we are a Super Mario sort of household.

You can’t enter my son’s room without being assaulted by Mario, Luigi, Toad, Peach and various other Nintendo friends. We have video games. Posters. Wall decals. Mini-figures.

Fortunately for me, I don’t find Mario terribly annoying. Of course, anything is an improvement over our recently-ended Dora the Explorer phase of life.

I was recently doing some online Christmas shopping and stumbled upon this Super Mario Yahtzee game.

My son is going to flip out over this.

I was raised on Yahtzee. We played it all the time growing up, and I’ve just begun to introduce it to my kids. They’re a little young to get the strategy part, but with some parental guidance, they have fun playing as teams.

But Super Mario Yahtzee? This is going to seal the deal for me. I can be assured that my love for Yahtzee will be passed on to my offspring with this collector’s edition.

Instead of having little dots to represent the dice numbers, all of the Super Mario powerups and stars are represented. The dice cup is the now-famous question box. Even the scoresheets are bedecked with Mario imagery.

This game would be an ideal gift for a Mario fan of any age – and I know there are some serious adult Mario fans out there.  Super Mario Collector’s Edition Yahtzee is available at numerous online retailers, including Amazon.com:

And luckily, girls like the Mario stuff too, thanks to Peach and Daisy! You didn’t mention a price or a link in the post, though. I guess it’s available everywhere? Might grab one for the family.

my kids are a bit young for this one, but it sure sounds fun.
