I am definitely not a morning person! One of the tasks I hate the most in the morning is having to dry my long, thick hair. So, when I first learned about the Goody Quik Style brush, I was immediately intrigued.
The Goody Quik Style brush has microfiber bristles that absorb water from your hair, cutting down drying time by about 30%. There are also vents on the side of the brush to further improve airflow when blow drying your hair.
The bristles are supposed to air dry when you’re finished, although you can use your blow dryer to dry them if you wish. They have antimicrobial properties to prevent any nasty mold or mildew from forming.
For me, this brush is perfect! It’s lightweight, easy to handle, and helps me look halfway presentable with a minimum amount of effort in the mornings. I’m not sure you’d save a ton of time using this brush if your hair is short and thin, but it’s great for anyone with long, thick hair. I can also see it being a timesaver if you have a daughter who needs to have her hair styled quickly in the mornings.
The Goody Quik Style brush retails for $11.99, so it’s one of the more expensive drugstore hairbrushes on the market. But, if you want to make your mornings less stressful, it’s definitely worth the extra cost. I’m a little concerned that the antimicrobial properties might wear off after a few months of use, but I figure I’ll just go buy another hairbrush if that happens.
Have you tried the Goody Quik Style brush? If so, what did you think?
