I love StarKist tuna because it is a cheap source of protein that I can keep in the pantry until it’s need.
Keeping a stash of StarKist tuna in the house makes makes meal planning easier and reduces the urge for me to splurge on pricey takeout food.
I normally just buy the basic StarKist chunk light tuna in water, but recently I had a chance to try the StarKist Tuna Creations. This product comes in a convenient no mess pouch, so you don’t need to drain it or dig out a can opener.
There are four different varieties of StarKist Tuna Creations: Herb & Garlic, Zesty Lemon Pepper, Hickory Smoked, and Sweet & Spicy. The Lemon Pepper is by far my favorite.
It has a bit more kick than regular tuna, but is still mild enough that your kids will be willing to try it. It also has just 80 calories per pouch, so it’s great for anyone who is trying to lose a few pounds.
All of the StarKist Tuna Creations have recipes on the back of the pouches that you can try. I like the Lemon Pepper on crackers for a quick snack or tossed into a pasta salad, however.
It is also a nice addition to tuna salad, since the added seasonings let you cut back on the high calorie dressing you’d normally use.
Have you tried any of the StarKist Tuna Creations? If so, what is your favorite way to enjoy this product?
