Squeaky Shoes That Really Are Supposed To Squeak!

Buying shoes for toddlers is no fun. They curl up their toes, won’t stand in one place long enough to allow you to try on various pairs, and hate (for the most part) having to wear them in the first place.

Now look at these cute little Mary Janes. These are made by Mooshu, and my girls would adore these cute little shoes! Heck, I think they are pretty darn cute, too! But one thing I’m not sure I would like about these shoes are that they squeak when your child walks.

Now based on reviews I’ve read about Mooshu squeaky shoes, the shoes make a cute little squeak every time your little one takes a step. But this is not to irritate mom to death, nope – the squeaking actually teaches your little girl to walk properly from heel to toe…otherwise, the shoe won’t squeak.

What that means to me is that this might be a good shoe for little ones just learning how to walk. Instead of just clomping around, you can teach them that they want to hear the squeak. Okay, I get that…but I also know that squeak would drive me crazy! Not to worry though, the squeaker can be removed from the shoes. Whew!

The shoes are not cheap – those little Mary Janes retail for $32. But the shoes are made of “butter soft leather with pigskin leather lining”. They also have padded collars. The soles are made of rubber and are very flexible and durable. This is a bonus: they have velcro buckles so they are simple to put on and take off. They have little boy styles as well.

I don’t know about you, but I’m sold! I think this would make a cute baby shower or first birthday gift. What do you think?

I love squeaker shoes! I have never bought this brand but they are adorable. I’ll to look into this brand next time I buy a pair. My Daughter loved wearing shoes that made cute noises. I loved that i could take out the squeakers for church except for the time I forgot. That was pretty embarrassing! lol

I love everything about this shoe, including the price. this is to say, i wont pay this price for every shoe, but a first shoe, as is the case with these squeakies, needs to be good, and i’ll pay the price. the only thing is, velcro is not an advantage for me. the kid is able to open it, and does it all the time, until the velcro wears out.

I can’t see wanting your child to make MORE noise than they already do!

Seriously, this is not cute, it’s simply annoying to trot your child around in public places with these shoes. I was in a restaurant and a young girl had them on, and it became quite irritating to listen to her after a few minutes.

Yes I know I sound like an old dragon, but the last thing I would want my children to do in a public place is to made extra noise that grates on the nerves of other people. Selfish and self-centred. Look how cute my kid is! Ugh.

They seem a great idea and are priced okay. I just wouldn’t want my daughters to irritate other people with the squeak. I think it’s a bit selfish, also I wouldn’t want to take my girls into the library or doctors or quiet places with them on.
