Sneak Veggies into Your Child’s Diet with Mott’s Medleys

Recently, I received a package of new Mott’s products to try. Since it was near dinnertime and everyone in my family was starving, I admit I didn’t read the description of the included items too closely. I simply picked up a few applesauce cups and passed them out to everyone at the table.

After dinner, however, I was shocked to discover that what we’d all enjoyed was the Mott’s Medleys Peach Apple Fruit and Veggie Snack. This is a peach applesauce blend with carrot juice, cucumber juice, and green bell pepper juice. It’s part of the recent trend of sneaking veggies into your child’s diet by hiding them in unexpected places. It’s not something I normally would try, because you have to admit the idea of carrot flavored applesauce sounds kind of gross.

But, I can assure you that nobody in my family thought this applesauce had veggies hidden in it. It’s a pleasant peach flavored applesauce with the same high quality you’d expect from other Mott’s products, although it does taste best if it’s stirred well before it’s eaten.

If you have a picky eater in your house or you’re just worried about the nutritional quality of your snacks, I’d highly recommend giving Mott’s Medleys Peach Apple Fruit and Veggie Snacks a try. They are fat free, with no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Each cup has just 60 calories. This is an easy way to get more vegetables into your family’s diet without a lot of extra hassle on your part.

If Peach Apple isn’t your thing, Mott’s Medleys also makes a Cherry Berry Fruit and Veggie Snack offering similar nutritional benefits.

My kids already love regular applesauce, so I will have to try these.
