Mott’s may be best known for its delicious applesauce, but the new Mott’s Medley’s fruit snacks are definitely worth trying out if you’re looking for a healthier version of one of your child’s favorite foods.

Like the other Mott’s Medleys products, I don’t think I’d realize there was vegetable juice in the fruit snacks unless I read the label. They taste pretty much like any other normal fruit snack. They are made with apple, pear, and carrot juice concentrate, but they have the same sweet “berry” flavor you’d find in any other fruit snack for kids.

My son loved these fruit snacks. In fact, he enjoyed them so much that he inhaled the first box I purchased in less than a day. The second box ended up being hidden in the only cabinet in the house he’s too short to reach so that I could have some, too!

Are Mott’s Medleys fruit snacks good for you? Well, even the company itself admits they are not supposed to replace actual fruits and vegetables in your diet. But, I think they’re certainly a better choice than eating a package of gummy bears or a few strips of taffy.

There are 10 packages in a box and each package is 80 calories. They’re fat free, gluten free, and give you 100% of your daily value of vitamin C in each serving. Mott’s Medleys snacks also use no artificial colors, which is another bonus.

Since Mott’s Medleys fruit snacks are comparable in price to the other fruit snacks at my local supermarket, they seem like a very easy way to sneak a bit of extra nutrition into our diets.
