Snack & Go Applesauce Is a Fun Treat for Busy Kids

One of the things I find most interesting about children is how much they want their food to be “fun” looking. For a child, food isn’t just about satisfying their hunger. It’s an extension of their playtime.

So, when Mott’s invited my son and I to sample their new applesauce pouches, I had a feeling this product would be a hit in my household. Anything my son can eat without silverware qualifies as a winner in his book.

Mott’s Snack & Go applesauce pouches come in two varieties: strawberry and natural applesauce. They have almost the same consistency and flavor as regular Mott’s applesauce, but are just a little bit smoother so you can drink the applesauce from the pouch.

My son prefers the strawberry, probably because strawberry is his second favorite fruit after apples. We also make homemade applesauce in the fall using apples from the tree in our backyard, so strawberry applesauce is more of a novelty item for him.

Mott’s Snack & Go applesauce is a nutritious choice when you’re packing a lunch or an on-the-go snack. There are just 40 calories in each pouch. The applesauce is a good source of vitamin C and has no sugar added. The cap is supposed to ensure less mess, but my son ate his applesauce so quickly I didn’t get a chance to really test how well the pouch would seal back up.

Mott’s Snack & Go applesauce is sold nationwide in a 4-pack of 3.2 ounce packages. The suggested retail price is $2.99, so I would recommend making this item a special treat for times when regular jarred applesauce is not practical.
