The Sling Bookshelf from One Step Ahead

With Spring cleaning in full bloom, so to speak, this Sling Bookshelf from One Step Ahead could be a great way to go if you don’t want to either stack your kid’s books in a bin or shelf them vertically. The thing that strikes me the most about this shelving system is that it allows your little one to see the front cover of the book for instant recognition.

It reminds me of the play space in the kid’s section of the library where everything is presented at a child’s level, easily accessible and displayed to grab their attention. The Sling bookshelf measures 29¼”L x 13″W x 31″H.

The shelves are made from soft canvas, making it easy for your tot to grab her favorite book. The shelves are anchored so they won’t shift and staggered to hold all size books

The only drawback I can see with this bookshelf system is that it takes up a large amount of floor space but doesn’t actually have a lot of room for many books. And, it seems to me that books tend to multiply and soon enough you’ve got books coming out of everywhere.

That said, the two storage bins at the bottom of the unit might just come in handy for all those extra things that need storing – like dolls and animals and blocks and trucks. Those, too, seem to multiply, don’t they?

The Sling Bookshelf from One Step Ahead retails for $69.95. For another $5 you can customize it with your child’s name.
