Even though I don’t always take the time to wear makeup, I never leave the house without some sort of fragrance. It’s a simple way to boost my mood when I’m getting ready for a hectic day.

Recently, I had an opportunity to sample Sinful, a new private label woman’s fine fragrance available exclusively at the Buckle.

I store my collection of fragrances on a shelf in my bathroom, so I’m always interested in the packaging choices of the products I choose. Sinful’s pink jewel encrusted bottle and metalized wings give it an interesting “bad girl” look. My first impression of the product was that it was for the woman who is more than “just a mom” or “just a wife.”

Sinful’s top notes are a citrus combination – mandarin, grapefruit, and raspberry. The fragrance’s middle notes are gardenia, rose, and mimosa. Base notes are patchouli, sandalwood, and tonkabean. (If you’re not familiar with fragrance terminology, the top note is the scent you notice immediately and the base note is the aspect of the fragrance that becomes more apparent after you’ve been wearing it for awhile.)

Sinful is certainly a step up from my original scent. The initial mandarin, grapefruit, and raspberry was fairly similar to the types of fragrances I’d normally buy for myself, but the base notes of Sinful added a sexy, sophisticated touch that my husband noticed immediately.

Tru Fragrance, the creator of Sinful, reports that sandalwood is the fragrance “HipNote” for Fall 2012. If you’re looking for a new date night scent that’s perfect for autumn’s cooler temperatures, Sinful is a great choice.
