Email and social networking tools like Facebook make it easier to keep in touch with family and friends, but there’s still something appealing about getting a card in the mail. Especially if it’s totally unexpected. When most of my mail is bills and advertisements, it’s always a nice treat to hear from a loved one.
I make a lot of the cards I send due to my interest in origami. But, when I buy cards, my favorite ones are the (PRODUCT) RED collection cards at Hallmark. You can check out some of the cards in this collection on the Hallmark website.
Eight percent of Hallmark (PRODUCT) RED net wholesale sales support the Global Fund to help people living with AIDS in Africa. The cards are limited edition designs available at participating stores. They are comparable in price to the other cards that Hallmark has for sale, so you’re not paying any extra to help support this worthy cause.
The card in the picture accompanying this post caught my eye right away when I was browsing through my local Hallmark store. It says “Believe in a thousand impossible things you’ve never believed in before.” The inside is blank, so it’s a cute card to have on hand for adult birthdays, sending a congratulations message, or just to wish someone a nice day when they are in need of a pick-me-up.
Some of the other companies participating in (PRODUCT) RED efforts include Dell, GAP, Converse, and Starbucks. You can learn more about their fundraising efforts by visiting (PRODUCT) RED website.
