Send A Ball: A Unique Gift Idea

Imagine one day opening the door to find the postman holding a bouncing ball addressed to you. One side says “You Have Bounced Right Into My Heart”, and the other side has your name and mailing address.

What a unique gift, right?! It’s a cute idea, and I think kids would definitely be excited about getting a ball in the mail. And that’s where  SendaBall.com  comes in.

Through SendaBall, you can send a fully-inflated ball to anybody, anywhere. The balls are sent First Class Mail by the regular United States Postal Service. The balls are addressed by hand, signed, stamped and mailed. No box, no bubble wrap or string or tape. Just the ball, in the mail. Very cool, right?

The balls come with a variety of sayings on them (sorry, birthday, love, or create your own message and many others) and a variety of colors. According to the site, the balls are about the size of a volleyball and are a heavier gauge than the ones in the bins at the store.

The balls are priced at $16, plus $4 (or more) for shipping.

How much would you be willing to pay for a ball to be sent through the mail? Would you be willing to pay that much? I think it’s a bit steep, but I love the concept, and it is a really fun gift for a kid…what kid doesn’t like getting things in the mail?!

Oh my gosh I LOVE THIS. I think $20 isn’t bad. What a neat idea.

Hmm. I think it would be more suited to a novelty corporate gift … can’t you just see someone in HR getting one from an eager job applicant, “Hire Me, I’m On the Ball!” :D
