If your kids enjoy roller skating, check out the Kids Skate Free website to see if they are eligible to participate in this exciting family-friendly program that allows you to receive free skating passes for the children in your household.
I’m assuming that Kids Skate Free is based on the popular Kids Bowl Free program that allows you to register your children for up to two free games of bowling per day throughout the summer. However, it does not appear that there is a paid pass option for adding adults like there is in the Kids Bowl Free program. So, you will need to count on paying full price for you and your spouse to come along.
Another difference between Kids Skate Free and Kids Bowl Free is that your children have to be at least 4 years old to take part in Kids Skate Free. Individual skating centers can choose the maximum age of participants in the program.
It looks like the Kids Skate Free program is fairly new, because there are some states that have no participating locations. But, this is definitely something worth checking out if you have children who like to skate and you’re looking for budget-friendly summer activities.
There is a PDF letter you can print off on the Kids Skate Free website to take to your local center if you would like to encourage them to consider participating in the program.
If you’ve been able to participate in Kids Skate Free, I’d love to hear what you think of this program.
