Safe Sippy 2

Safe Sippy 2

I shudder when I think about how much money my husband and I invested in sippy cups over the years. We must’ve tried 7 different types. Some leaked, some didn’t have a good grip, some didn’t wash up well.

And then we did it all over again when we moved from sippies to straw cups.

Our couch still has the milk stains to prove how much work it is to find a good sippy cup.

The Safe Sippy 2 seems to have a lot of great features that take the guesswork out of sippy cup selection.

The Safe Sippy 2 has a cool shape and style that resembles a rocket. It’s got easy-grab, removable handles and both a travel cap and travel plug to prevent leaks when traveling.

The beverage holder itself is made of stainless steel – so it’s BPA and Phthalate-free. The outer sleeve has insulating properties to keep the drink hot or cold.

When your child moves from a traditional sippy to a straw cup, switch out the sippy piece for the included straw adapter and – voila! – no need to buy brand-new sippies!

Safe Sippy cups are also dishwasher safe – which is great, because who wants to spend time handwashing sippy cups? Not this girl.

Safe Sippy cups come in 3 colors – pink, blue and green.

They’re not cheap. $15.95 for one sippy is a steep price, especially when you need several around the house. But if they truly last and you don’t need to spend the money on straw cups later, it can be worth the up-front investment.

“When your child moves from a traditional sippy to a straw cup…”

Is this a new trend I’m missing? When my kids outtgrew their sippy cups (around two and a half-years-old) we went straight to a normal, open plastic cup before graduating to a small glass.

I’m not sure why a child who can sit at table and hold a cup would need a straw sippy cup. For portability, I use either a water bottle or a juicebox. Maybe it’s a daycare thing?
