My son seems to have inherited my tummy troubles. He’s very healthy overall, but complains of stomachaches on a regular basis. So, I was excited when we were invited to try samples of ProBugs. This is a product from Lifeway Foods that is a smoothie-type drink for kids on-the-go.

ProBugs is rich in “friendly bugs” and “probiotics” that help increase the level of good bacteria in children’s digestive systems and promote overall healthy digestion. It’s also high in protein and calcium, making it a nutritious snack choice. ProBugs is USDA Certified Organic as well as a gluten-free product.

ProBugs is sold in five-ounce containers, with four drinks in each package. Available flavors of ProBugs include Goo-Berry Pie, Orange Creamy Crawler, Strawnana Split, and Sublime Slime Lime. Of the flavors, Strawnana Split was my son’s favorite. I thought the Orange Creamy Crawler was especially good.

The packaging of ProBugs is sure to entice picky kids to try something new. My son was impressed by the cute cartoon illustrations of “friendly” bugs on the front of each drink package.

Since he’s just learning how to read, he was also interested in the kid-friendly description of probiotics written on the back of each drink. I liked the fact the drink comes in a squeezable container with a no-spill spout and a cap that can be resealed to prevent leaks.

There is a store locator on the Lifeway Kefir website to help you find a location nearest you that sells ProBugs. The website also has printable coupons you can use towards your purchase.

Have you tried ProBugs? If so, we’d love to hear your thoughts!

Have not tried this yet, but I think the concept of “healthy bugs” and the cute packaging (as you stated) would be really neat to help kids be encouraged to try this!
