Polarn O. Pyret Children’s Clothing

If you can make it through the pronunciation of this company’s name, you might find a hidden treasure.

They claim to make “the best children’s clothing in the world.” That’s a big claim. Polarn O. Pyret’s been around since 1976. It originated in Stockholm and spread across Europe, and only recently did they forge into the very competitive U.S. children’s clothing market.

Polarn O. Pyret makes stuff for everybody but Daddy in the family. Most of their items are for newborns, babies and kids. They make dresses, onesies, undies, rain boots, outerwear, tops and toys. Many of their items are made from 100% organic cotton, too.

The picture above is an example of an item from their newborn line – an eco top and bloomer set that sells for about $35.  Their babies’ and kids’ clothes are equally cute, with a dizzying array of items to choose from. Most, in my opinion, trend toward classic shapes and patterns that won’t fall out of style.

This was one of my favorite tops from the baby collection. It’s their wraparound signature stripe top and it’s fun because each part of the top is a different color stripe! This top retails for $25 and comes in sizes 4-6 months up to 2 years.

Moms-to-be will find plenty to choose from at Polarn O. Pyret as well. Their maternity dresses are really chic. This Helios halter dress for $70.50 was one of my favorites. It comes in XS, S, M and L.
