Pivot Power Mini Tries to Make Charging Electronics Easier
We live in an older house that has its good points, but our electrical wiring leaves a lot to be desired. None of the rooms have enough outlets to plug in all of the electronic devices that a modern family uses on a regular basis.
If you’re in a similar situation, check out the Pivot Power Mini from Quirky.
The Pivot Power Mini is a handy gadget that gives you access to two grounded outlets and two USB ports. The plugs are arranged to handle bulky adapters and the device offers surge protection to protect expensive electronics against sudden voltage spikes.
If needed, you can fold up the Pivot Power Mini and slip it into your bag or suitcase for traveling. I don’t travel very often, but I can see how this gadget would be handy for someone who is frequently away on business trips or anyone who relies on electronic gadgets to distract crabby kids on a family vacation.
The reviews for the Pivot Power Mini seem mixed. Some reviewers claim to have had trouble charging multiple Apple devices, while others say they can charge an iPhone and iPad at the same time with no problems. I don’t own any Apple gadgets myself, but this would be something to consider if you’re buying one for this purpose.
I would use one to charge my Kindle, my digital camera, and a few of my son’s toys, so a possible Apple problem isn’t a make or break concern for me.
If you own a Pivot Power Mini, I’d love to hear what you think of this product. Does it make charging your gadgets easier?
