I normally don’t wear a ton of makeup, so I wasn’t sure what to think when a friend gave me some Butter London Lippy lip gloss to try out. But, even though I don’t have a broad frame of reference when it comes to evaluating makeup, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this product.
Butter London was founded in 2005 by British entrepreneur, Sasha Muir. The company originally focused on creating nail polish in fashionable colors, made without harmful chemicals. They are now expanding the product line to include a broader range of cosmetics.
Butter London gloss has shea butter and vitamin E with no parabens, petroleum, phthalates, sulphates, or bismuth. The lip gloss added a nice subtle color and a pretty glossy shine. It didn’t feel heavy or fake on my lips, which I liked.
It lasted about as long as the other brands of lip gloss I’ve tried in the past. However, I am a chronic lip licker – so anything I try tends to wear off pretty quickly.
Butter London Lippy lip gloss is designed to match the company’s most popular nail polish shades. This is way more effort than I would normally put into getting ready in the morning, but I did receive several compliments while wearing the Trout Pout nail polish and lip gloss together. I can see how this would be a good thing if you wanted to dress up for a special occasion.
Have you tried any of the Butter London products? If so, what are your favorite items or shades?
