Although I use an e-reader for most of my new book purchases, we still have a huge number of books in my home. I have a lot of reference books in my office for various writing projects and my son still prefers physical books over their electronic counterparts.

So, bookends are a necessity for us. (I suppose I could just prop up all my books with bricks, but I love the decorative touch you get from displaying cute bookends on a shelf.)

I think these adorable “No Fair” balloon animal bookends are the cutest ones I’ve seen in quite some time. They would be fabulous in a child’s room, especially if you have a circus themed nursery. However, you could also use them to add a whimsical touch to a bookshelf in your own bedroom or living room.

Each balloon animal bookend measures 8.5 inches in height, 3.5 inches in length, and 10.5 inches in width. Reviewers report that these bookends are high quality and seem to be very sturdy. They are fairly heavy, so you won’t need to worry about pets accidentally knocking them over.

The product description for the bookends lists the colors as orange and purple. However, the orange bookend looks yellowish to me. One reviewer compared the shade to Sunny Delight, the popular orange flavored drink.

If you aren’t in need of bookends, Mod Cloth suggests using a single balloon animal as a decorative door stop.

What do you think of the “No Fair” bookends?
