One Step Ahead Collapsible Toy Box

When I first saw the Collapsible Toy Box and 4-Cubby Organizer from One Step Ahead I thought that it might be perfect for my family. Here in earthquake territory it’s hard to find storage solutions to hold all that kid stuff that tends to accumulate. Solutions, that is, that don’t become death traps when the ground starts shaking.

The One Step Ahead Collapsible Toy Box and 4-Cubby Organizer has clean lines and neutral hues – perfect for storing toys in the family room without mucking up the decor. And when you’re not using it, the organizer folds flat for easy storage.

The Collapsible Toy Box and 4-Cubby Organizer looks like it holds plenty and the 4-drawer system would appeal to my daughter’s growing sense of organization. Heck, even the opening and closing of the bins would make her happy for at least half an hour.

But then I thought, collapsible? How would that work with a toddler who likes to climb? The organizer is supposedly so rugged that kids can sit on it, but I’m not sure how well it would withstand a climbing, scrambling toddler.

Ahh, might be a perfect lesson for my daughter, you might say. That’d teach her to be careful where she climbed! Only, I’m not willing to shell out good money to teach her a lesson she’ll learn for free at the playground. So, unfortunately, as cute and as functional as the toy box and organizer set seems to be, it isn’t for this mom, at least not yet. Once my daughter graduates from her climbing stage this could become a good storage option.

The Large Collapsible Toy Box retails for $44.95 and the 4-Cubby Organizer goes for $49. Buy them together and you save $20.
