Sadly, my son has inherited my klutziness when it comes to meal time mishaps. He’s very bright in the classroom, but everyday tasks like learning how to drink from a cup without spilling chocolate milk or fruit punch all over the floor have been extremely difficult for him to learn.
When we go out to eat as a family, I usually end up leaving a much larger than normal tip to compensate for the mess he makes.
We have gone through every brand of spill proof cup imaginable over the years. I’ve tried cheap dollar store cups as well as fancy sippy cups that cost almost as much as my wedding china. None of them ever truly lived up to the hype until we had a chance to test out the Munchkin 9oz Click Lock Insulated Big Kid Cup.
What makes the Munchkin cup unique is that it “clicks” when it’s fully closed, so you know the seal is tight. It will not spill no matter how many times it’s dropped or tipped over. It’s insulated to help keep drinks cool and it is top rack dishwasher safe.
My son is way too old to use a sippy cup on a regular basis now, but I would have loved these cups when he was a toddler. All the money I could have saved on carpet cleaners and laundry stain removal products would have been enough to send me on that cruise I’ve been dreaming of.
