Moby Wrap Prints

When my kids were babies, several years ago, the baby front carriers seemed to be all the rage. Now the baby wrap is the latest trend. I usually see them in solid colors – black or navy blue. I guess moms feel like they need to pick something that their husbands will actually be willing to wear.

It’s hard enough for men to carry babies around, let alone if they’re swathed in a pink material!

But now Moby Wraps, which is the most-recognized baby wrap carrier out there, has – gasp – printed wraps! I live in a hot weather state, and the idea of wearing a hot black wrap around in the summer is not appealing. I’d insist on a nice light printed fabric.

All Moby Wraps are made of 100% cotton, so they feel like a T-shirt. They’re 18 feet long, so it’s designed to fit moms and dads of nearly every size. The printed Moby Wraps come in 3 styles: camo, daisies and dots. You could either buy two – the camo for the man in your life, and the daisies for yourself – or just buy the camo and share!

Moby seems to really have put a lot of thought into the design of their wraps. They’re set up so that the weight of the baby is shared by the shoulders AND the back, instead of just the back.  When it’s wrapped around you, the knot tie doesn’t fall on the center of your back, where it would be uncomfortable to sit – it’s on the side of your body. Brilliant!

Moby Wraps are available for purchase starting at $39.95 . The prints are $49.95. Cheaper than a stroller, right? Go check them out at mobywrap.com.

While I can appreciate Moby’s attempt at creating a manly wrap, I’m still not sure, as a guy, that I would wear it, even in camo.
