Milkies Milk Saver Saves Your Precious Breastmilk

When I was nursing my children, I was really shocked by the amount of breakmilk that was wasted in the nursing pads I lived in. I always thought “Wow! I wish there was a way to catch all this milk instead of wasting it. This was especially true when I nursed the twins and was changing nursing pads on what seemed like an hourly basis! Seems like now, although it’s too late for me, there may be a solution to this problem. Milkies Milk Savers solves this issue by collecting breastmilk on the side which the baby is not nursing. Since many say that breastmilk is like liquid gold, I suspect this product is enjoying high popularity among nursing moms!

The Milk Saver is a plastic container that you put in your bra to collect milk after let-down has occurred. You can collect milk directly into the container or a plastic storage bag can be attached with a rubber band.

So, whether you are a nursing mom who has low milk supply or a mom who just don’t want to waste the milk from the opposite breast when you are nursing, these breast pads collect this milk to give your baby later, with no breast pumping needed! Or maybe your a mom who leaks milk when they are not able to nurse, this allows you to preserve it in a reservoir for later use. It’s not quite a breast pump, but it performs some of the same basic functions.

Now this doesn’t seem like a product that is discreet enough to wear when your out and about, but for when you’re home? It seems to be the perfect solution!

What do you think? If you are a nursing mom, is this a product you would try out?

I think this is a promising idea. No body loves a milk pump, but when you are losing milk from the other breast when nursing, it’s a brilliant way to save a few ounces for later. Also helps reduce that painful swelling in the beginning.

I guess I would try it. Does it spill, after it collects, onto your clothes? Is it comfy enough to wear at night, when the hopefully long stretch between nursing allows for milk to collect?
