If you are looking for something to increase your breast milk supply, then check out Mamatini.
First off, it tastes great! It’s not sweet as I was afraid it would be. You know how some manufacturers kick up the sugar content just because? Not Mamatini – it’s a yummy blend of ginger and peppermint, with lots of other herbs and vitamins too. To me, it kind of tastes earthy in a freshly brewed tea way, as if you just loving made a pot herbal tea. You can visit their website to get all the details, but I’m here to say that it really tastes great!
Second, it does actually increase breast milk production. Fenugreek is the magic ingredient. Each bottle contains 1.5 grams of the milk enhancing-herb that lactating mothers have been using for centuries. I’ve definitely noticed a difference.
However you should be aware of a funny side effect of fenugreek: smelling like maple syrup. Literally, maple syrup. I started to smell like a pancake factory. Move over B.O, here comes some syrup…my husband has been craving pancakes ever since I started taking the stuff.
There are definitely easier ways of getting fenugreek into your system like pills, powders and other concoctions but Mamatini is very nice to drink regardless of its ability to increase your breast milk supply. Especially if you’re sick of drinking all that water.
A big thanks to the folks over at Mamatini for sending me some to try.
