It was a major splurge for me when I purchased it, but I love my Kindle Fire. It’s wonderful to have a way to read ebooks, listen to music, watch Netflix movies, and play games on one handy little device.
If you have a Kindle Fire, I highly recommend downloading the free Kaleidoscope Drawing Pad app from the Amazon app store. This great drawing tool lets you make Kaleidoscope style patterns on your Kindle, then watch an animated movie of the process of creating your drawing.
It’s extremely easy to use, yet endlessly entertaining. In fact, I often keep my Kindle Fire in my purse just so my son can play with this app when he is bored while we’re out running errands.
Finished drawings can be saved and emailed, posted on Facebook, or added to a board on Pinterest. Check out some of the drawings my son and I made on my Pinterest account.
If you want to be really creative, you could use your child’s favorite Kaleidoscope designs to whip up some customized stationary or note cards for Grandma and Grandpa.
I think a collage of Kaleidoscope drawings printed onto a poster from a place like Snapfish or Shutterfly would also be cool. I’m planning on doing this for a spot in our hallway, but we don’t quite have enough drawings we like just yet.
